How it works
Bookhand checks your books. A real accountant, as much as you need.
Daily numbers for every business, and a named accountant to do it all, on call at fixed prices, or not at all. No year-end panic.

- 1
Connect or send it in
Link Xero and your bank feeds in minutes, or skip it: forward receipts and invoices to your own Bookhand inbox and upload bank statements. You can mix the two.
- 2
Bookhand checks daily
Every morning Bookhand goes through what landed overnight, whether it came from Xero or your inbox, splits marketplace payouts into sales, fees and refunds, and tells you what looks off.
- 3
Your accountant reviews
On Done for you, your named accountant at a partner firm reviews the books monthly and files every return. On Accountant on call, they review quarterly and take on any job at a fixed price.
- 4
You see what changed
Daily and weekly reports flag anything unusual. Each month you get a forecast, the story behind your numbers and ways to improve profit, all in plain English.
Two ways in
With your software, or without it
Bookhand doesn't need you to have accounting software. Send things in and it keeps the records; connect Xero and it reads them for you.
Send it in
Forward receipts and supplier invoices to your Bookhand inbox, snap them on your phone, and upload bank statements as CSV or PDF. Bookhand sorts every line and keeps the records for you.
- Receipts and supplier invoices by email or photo
- Bank statements uploaded as CSV or PDF
- Questions about your numbers answered in a chat
- Shopify and Amazon payout reports uploaded, until those connections go live
Suits: Sole traders, landlords, anyone on spreadsheets, and accounts with no bank feed
Connect your software
Link Xero, and through it your bank feeds, with read-only access. Bookhand goes through what landed overnight, every morning, without you sending anything.
- Bank lines checked every morning through Xero
- Lines Xero couldn't match flagged for a receipt
- Overdue invoices flagged for you to chase
- Read-only: it can never move your money
Suits: Businesses already on Xero, and ecommerce brands with daily payouts
Every plan works either way, and you can mix them: connect Xero and still send in the receipts and statements it doesn't have. Start by sending things in and connect later without losing anything. Anything marked coming soon can be sent in meanwhile.

What it takes off your plate
